England’s FaZe Gorilla qualifies for the FIFA eWorld Cup in London as he looks to defend his world title
- The 16 Xbox One players for the FIFA eWorld Cup in August have been decided
- Among them is FaZe Gorilla who is looking to defend the trophy he won last year
- The 16 PlayStation 4 qualifiers will be decided this weekend in Amsterdam
Among them is Spencer ‘FaZe Gorilla’ Ealing, the reigning FIFA world champion, who dominated his opponent Javier ‘Janoz’ Munoz 13-5 on aggregate in the round of 32 in Amsterdam yesterday.
Fellow Brits Hashtag dreamR and Crafty have also qualified for the tournament, which will take place in London in August.
Over 20 million people have attempted to make it to the FIFA eWorld Cup by competing in FUT Champions events, but only 32 will make it through: 16 on Xbox and 16 on PlayStation 4.
Although 16 Xbox players have now qualified, they’re still competing in Amsterdam for better prize money, and better seeding for the eWorld Cup.
11 different nations are represented among the 16 Xbox One qualifiers so far.
The qualifiers are: Rogue MSDossary (Saudi Arabia), Hashtag dreamR (Wales), ICHOR RESENDE7 (Brazil), Rafsou (France), NRaseck (Germany), Crafty (England), FaZe Gorilla (England), Bundled GoalMachine21 (Canada), AeroFIFA (France), AFC AJAX DANI (Netherlands), JSSF107 (Brazil), kurt0411 (Malta), SKC Alekzandur (USA), FABIO DENUZZO (Italy), MegaBit (Germany), Sakul (Germany).
The PlayStation 4 entrants will be decided this weekend during the Amsterdam Global Series Playoff event.
Gorilla recently moved teams from UNILAD to FaZe. He’s currently looking on form in Amsterdam, but will face stiff tests on the way to defending his world championship crown in August.
