FIFA 18 cover star Cristiano Ronaldo is still rated higher than Lionel Messi in the LA Liga Team of the Season despite Barcelona’s undefeated streak
- Barcelona and Messi have outperformed Real Madrid and Ronaldo this season
- EA have neglected Messi this season, not giving him an inform after a hat-trick
- The La Liga TOTS is still packed with ridiculous cards that you’ll want to pack
Despite that, EA Sports have continued to stick with their cover star, giving him his second 99-rated card on FIFA 18 while Messi has had to settle for a 98-rated card.
EA Sports have given FIFA 18 cover star Ronaldo a higher-rated card despite Messi’s form
Still, there is plenty to be happy about with these unbelievably good Team of the Season cards
Barcelona already have the La Liga title secured and are just two games away from becoming the first team to ever finish a La Liga season undefeated.
Meanwhile, Real Madrid are sat in third, trailing by 18 points. Even in solo statistics Messi is further ahead – his 34 goals and 12 assists overshadow Ronaldo’s 25 goals and five assists.
And this isn’t the first time EA have neglected Messi this season either. The Argentinian scored a hat-trick which secured his team the title yet he was inexplicably snubbed from the Team of the Week.
However, if you look past the debate there is still plenty to be excited about. Both Messi and Ronaldo’s new cards are absolutely amazing. CR7’s second 99-rated card of FIFA 18 turns him into a terrifying striker with 97 pace, 98 dribbling, 99 shooting, 93 passing and 96 physicality.
Messi’s card is also fantastic with 97 pace, 98 dribbling, 97 shooting and 97 passing. Despite that, it seems bizzare he only has 98 dribbling when he already has two lower-rated cards which have 99 in dribbling.
Other cards worth taking a look at are Luiz Suarez and Antoine Griezmann. Suarez’s new 97-rated card looks phenomenal with 89 pace, 96 dribbling, 98 shooting, 92 passing and 91 physicality.
The Uruguayan could be replaced by Griezmann this Summer and you can see why Barca are interested in the Frenchman. The Atletico Madrid’s 96-rated card has 95 pace, 98 dribbling, 96 shooting and 94 passing.
And as a slightly cheaper option (about as cheap as you can hope for from a TOTS card) is the incredible 92-rated card for Rodrigo. The striker has 97 pace, 90 dribbling, 93 shooting, 84 passing and 81 physicality plus four-star skills.
