Epic Games has just revealed an interesting set of new challenges for week 3 of Fortnite season 6.
This week’s challenges task players with everything from visiting certain map locations to eliminating players in multiple matches to even hitting players with a certain object from a specific range.
The new challenges for Fortnite involved visiting map areas, eliminating opponents and more
The following challenges have been implemented into the game:
- Revive a player in different matches (0/5)
- Stage 1: Search a chest in Lonely Lodge (0/1)
- Damage Trap eliminations (0/1)
Battle Pass challenges
- Stage 1: Visit Risky Reels and Wailing Woods in the same match (0/1)
- Hit a player with a Tomato 15 meters away or more (0/1)
- Complete timed trials (HARD)(0/3)
- Eliminate opponents in different matches (0/10)
Revive a player in different matches
This is a fairly straightforward challenge that’s best done in a 50 vs. 50 match. Players should note that reviving multiple players in just a single match doesn’t count towards completing the challenge, only the first player they’ve revived in each match until the quota of five has been completed.
Stage 1: Search a chest in Lonely Lodge
As many players will try to complete this challenge on the day it debuts, it may be best to wait until later in the week to complete it, making for less competition to deal with.
To finish it successfully, simply head to the Lonely Lodge, search for the chest and follows directions to the ensuing location.
Damage Trap eliminations
This challenge can be difficult and rather time-consuming to perform, often requiring at least some luck.
Players looking to successfully complete it should keep their eyes peeled for the traps and, after obtaining them, deploy them in a structure during the endgame in locations that would surprise enemy players.
Gamers should try to put themselves in the shoes of opposing players and ask themselves where they might be surprised to find the damage trap, especially in structural locations that are hard to see and maneuver around.
Stage 1: Visit Risky Reels and Wailing Woods in the same match
This multistage challenge should probably be done in a 50 vs. 50 match to minimize the threat posed by enemy players. Depending on which way the battle bus takes you, visit the closest location to your landing point first and try to complete the challenge at the beginning of the match as soon as possible.
Hit a player with a Tomato 15 meters away or more
This new challenge is likely easier than it first appears, as throwing tomatoes at your own teammates also counts towards completing the challenge.
To finish it successfully, players will need to obtain a tomato emote, unlockable at tier 28 of the Battle Pass. From there, gamers should either team up with an ally or enter a 50 vs. 50 match and throw tomatoes at each other.
Per early reports, this challenge can also be finished by throwing tomatoes in the game lobby before even getting on the battle bus.
Complete timed trials
Timed trials have returned for week 3 of season 6 and can be found in the following locations on the map:
- Just north of the rocket silo just northeast of Snobby Shores
- Western side of a bridge just southeast of Shifty Shafts
- On the western edge of Tomato Temple
- Just south of Tilted Towers on the hill near the shack
Once players have reached the timed trials, simply activate them and run through the course before the timer clock runs out. Gamers should be advised that they’ll likely need to build ramps or knock down several obstacles in order to complete each timed trial successfully.
Eliminate opponents in different matches
Though listed as a hard challenge, this one is fairly straightforward and simple to complete.
The challenge, specifically, tasks players with eliminating ten opponents in different matches, meaning it involves a lengthy commitment but can be pulled off without too much trouble, especially for veteran players.
What is Fortnite?
Fortnite is a free-to-play shooter video game both published and developed by Epic Games.
Boasting a player base of around 125 million players worldwide, the video game was first released back in July 2017 with its popular battle royale mode being introduced shortly afterwards in September 2017.
The game mode features matches of 100 players that mix shooter gameplay with survival and fort building elements, as players can scavenge for weaponry and gear and also construct fortifications to defend themselves.
