Gen.G now have MLB and NBA experience in their ranks with new Head of Sponsorships Jordan Sherman
- Jordan Sherman is Gen.G’s new Head of Sponsorships and Revenue Operations
- Sherman began his career working within the MLB before joining the LA Clippers
- His main goal will be growing Gen.G’s audiences in America, China and Korea
The esports organisation have hired Jordan Sherman as their new Head of Sponsorships and Revenue who brings with him over a decade of sports industry experience.
Sherman has worked within sponsorship sales, business development, strategic planning and digital media but tackling esports will be a different beast.
Gen.G’s new Head of Sponsorships and Revenue previously worked within the MLB and NBA
Beginning his sports business career by working with the MLB, Sherman was responsible for taking advantage of the league’s massive reach with a focus on innovative digital marketing and content opportunities for national brands.
He then moved on to NBA team Los Angeles Clippers where he generated annual revenue for the team via digital, social, point of sale and in-arena activations.
Despite what he is achieved already, Sherman believes he can go even further as there’s no ceiling on the esports industry: ‘I’ve seen first-hand how MLB and NBA partnerships can drive revenues and reach business objectives for our clients and I am excited for esports to further develop into the next frontier for even greater results.
‘Connecting premier brands with Gen.G and engaging such an amazing fanbase is an incredible opportunity, and I look forward to elevating the Gold Standard esports experience.’
Gen.G have teams all around the world with the reigning LoL champions from Korea, Korean Overwatch team Seoul Dynsaty competing in America and China’s best Clash Royale team. Growing in China, Korea and America’s esports markets could be Sherman’s tallest task yet.
