History will be made this weekend as we will witness the grand final to the first ever season of the Overwatch League.
It’s already been a thrilling season with London Spitfire, Los Angeles Valiant and New York Excelsior all winning Stage finals, with the latter doing so twice. Finalist Spitfire won Stage 1 back in March while Philadelphia Fusion have so far had to settle for runner-up in Stage 2.
The final will take place in the massive Barclays Center arena in Brooklyn, New York with a capacity of 19,000. If you aren’t lucky enough to be there in person, we’ve complied how you can watch from home and everything you need to know.

What time does the Overwatch League final start?
The first best-of-five match will take place Friday July 27 at 6pm CT, which in the UK will actually be Saturday morning at 12am BST.
Then the next match will start Saturday evening at the slightly earlier time of 3pm CT, which for the UK will be 9pm BST. If the series goes to a final third match, that will begin straight after at a predicted time of 5pm CT / 11pm BST.
The finals will be broadcast live on the Overwatch League Twitch channel and on Major League Gaming’s streaming service. On top of that, you can catch the final live on TV on ESPN and Disney XD thanks to a recently agreed deal.

How much will the winning team earn?
The team that sins the grand final will take home a staggering prize of $1million (£760,000)
The Overwatch League teams have already won fairly substantial prize money, with teams earning $125,000 (£k) each time they won a Stage final.
But the grand final is a whole different level as the winning team will take home a staggering $1million (£760k) while the runner-up will still take home a respectable $400k (£304k).

1st: $1m (£760k)
2nd: $400k (£304k)
3rd: $100k (£76k) — Los Angeles Valiant
4th: $100k £76k) — New York Excelsior
5th: $50k — Boston Uprising
6th: $50k — Los Angeles Gladiators
What else will be going on during the Overwatch League finals?
DJ Khaled will be performing live in the Barclay’s Center before the matches of day two kick off
It wouldn’t be a major esports final without a bit of extra entertainment and Blizzard have revealed that DJ Khaled will be performing live in the Barclays Center on Saturday just before the second day’s games. There will also be two other DJs who will be playing during broadcast breaks on both days.
On top of that, local artist David Garibaldi will be speed-painting his own version of the Overwatch League logo on the Friday with the finished artwork being given away to one lucky fan. Cosplayers will also be walking around the concourse before the matches start and fans in the arena can have their picture taken with the Overwatch League trophy.
