- Meyler plays FIFA on his popular YouTube channel with nearly 300k subscribers
- He recorded a perfect 40-0 record which even pro players don’t always earn
- Then he joked he was ready to challenge Ultimate Team champion DhTekKz
Replublic of Ireland and Hull midfielder David Meyler can’t get enough of football. When he isn’t playing or training with club and country, he’s playing the virtual version on Xbox.
He finished the most recent weekend league on Ultimate Team with a perfect record of 40 wins and no losses, a feat that even a lot of professional FIFA players aren’t able to achieve every week.
Hull and Republic of Ireland midfielder David Meyler is a big fan of EA Sports’ FIFA 18
And he is also pretty good at the game, finishing the Weekend League with a perfect record
And many esports pros were quick to congratulate him, including FaZe Clan’s Tassal ‘Tass’ Rushan who said: ‘If you qualify for one of the events one day my mind will be blown forever.’
Meyler quickly brushed it off saying he doubts that would ever happen. However, as a professional sportsman he is obviously very competitive and was quick to challenge reigning FUT Champion, Donovan ‘DhTekKz‘ Hunt.
Coming for you man

It’s an impressive achievement by Meyler but his ridiculous FUT team does help. And as you can see in the picture above, he still has 14million coins left in the bank.
Still, you can’t take it away from him. Meyler joked on Twitter that if he could make the same levels of improvement in real life, he’d be playing for Barcelona. If a move to the Nou Camp doesn’t happen, becoming a FIFA pro could be the next best thing for him.
