PES 2019 officially partners with Celtic and will release a limited club edition
- There will only be 1,000 copies released of the special Celtic edition of PES 2019
- All of Celtic’s squad will have their faces and likeness scanned into the game
- Celtic Park will be available to download after PES 2019 launches on August 30
Konami have announced that the latest club to become fully licensed for Pro Evolution Soccer (PES) 2019 is SPL champions Celtic.
The partnership comes as Konami integrates the full Scottish Premiership into the PES series for the first time. Each of the 12 clubs will appear in official kits and iconography through post-launch data pack releases.
However, Celtic will have their integration into the game taken to another level as the faces of all their players and their stadium will be put into the game.
Konami have revealed Celtic as the latest football club they have partnered with for PES 2019
Celtic players will appear in the game with their actual faces and the official Celtic kits
The entire squad will meet with Konami who will use dozens of cameras to scan their faces into PES 2019 from every angle meaning the likes of Scott Brown and Moussa Dembele will have their likeness appear in the game for the first time ever.
On top of that, Konami will be recreating the iconic Celtic Park into the game but have warned that the stadium will not be ready for the game’s launch on August 30. Instead, the 60,000 capacity stadium will made available via download later in the game’s cycle.
And if that wasn’t already good enough for Celtic fan, Komani will be releasing a Celtic-themed special edition of the game which will come with Celtic branding plus bespoke DLC and content for the game but Konami are keeping the details of this quiet.
You’ll have to be quick if you want the Celtic edition as Konami are only releasing 1,000 copies of the limited edition version. No other details have been announced such as whether this version will cost extra or if it will be available for all platforms.
Gordon Kaye – Head of Business Development at Celtic is over the moon about the new deal: ‘We are delighted to be partnering with KONAMI at such an exciting time for the PES Series.
‘The gameplay and player detail in PES 2019 is simply stunning and we have no doubt Celtic fans will be excited at the prospect of seeing the Double Treble Champions emulated in such a realistic way.’
