Mbappe is lighting up the World Cup and will do the same on FIFA 18 with his latest upgrade in Ultimate Team
- Kylian Mbappe helped France through to their third World Cup final in 20 years
- The 19-year-old striker is now 89 rated in FIFA 18 Ultimate Team World Cup mode
- Despite their defeat, Belgium’s Eden Hazard also earned himself a big upgrade
Other than Gareth Southgate’s men, one of the biggest highlights of the tournament has been the rise of Kylian Mbappe on the international stage.
There’s never been any doubt of his potential but the 19-year-old’s performances in Russia have solidified him as a superstar. EA Sports have upgraded him in FIFA 18 after he helped France defeat Belgium to reach the final.
Raphael Varane, Samuel Umtiti, Kylian Mbappe and Eden Hazard all get FIFA 18 upgrades
This is Mbappe’s second upgrade on the World Cup mode, having gone up to an 89 overall from an 85 during the course of the tournament. His phenomenal card now has blistering 96 pace as well as 94 dribbling, 92 shooting, 88 passing and 85 physicality.
Meanwhile his teammates Raphael Varane and Samuel Umtiti also received upgrades as the center-back pairing defended valiantly against the near-unstoppable force of Belgium.
Varane is now an 89-rated card, boasting 90 pace, 92 defending and 90 physicality while Umtiti is 87-rated with 90 defending and 86 physicality. Either of those men would make a huge difference to your back-line, France are very fortunate to have both.
And despite his nation being knocked out of World Cup trophy contention, Eden Hazard still put on enough of a show to receive an upgrade. The Chelsea winger tried everything he could, completing 96% of his passes, making 10 dribbles and even a key pass.
His World Cup card looks incredible with an overall of 94 and stats of 95 pace, 97 dribbling, 92 shooting, 93 passing and 80 physicality.
