Capcom has announced an announcement, letting us know that it will be revealing key details about the PC release of Monster Hunter: World on Monday.
So far, all we’ve really known about the PC version of Monster Hunter: World is that it’s coming sometime this fall. But in a tweet this morning, Capcom said it’ll have the specific release date, the distribution platform, and minimum system specs ready for the public on Monday, July 9, at 9:00 PT/17:00 BST.
Monster Hunter: World launched on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 back in January, and PC players have naturally been eager to get their hands on the latest entry in Capcom’s popular beast-slaying franchise – the first one ever to (officially) make the jump to PC in the west.

Producer Ryozo Tsujimoto has said that as it’s the team’s first PC version of Monster Hunter, they’ve needed extra time to make it as good as possible. That has included creating a purpose-built PC matchmaking system, which hopefully will be a little less clunky than the one we’ve seen in the console editions of Monster Hunter: World.
The trend lately has been toward increasingly good PC ports of Japanese console games, with notable examples including Square Enix’s Final Fantasy XV and Koei-Tecmo’s Nioh. Hopefully Capcom will continue this with the PC edition of Monster Hunter.
