Blizzard is teasing out the new Overwatch: Storm Rising event this week, and the early looks have introduced us to a character named Sojourn. She’ll apparently play a big role in what’s looking increasingly like a new Overwatch Archives event set in Havana, and the latest teaser goes so far as to give Sojourn a voice – which, naturally, means she’s already been added to the list of potential new Overwatch heroes.
Sojourn is in some position of authority in Overwatch, and she offers a set of instructions in the new teaser. “Commander Morrison. I have a proposal. We’re going at catching Doomfist the wrong way. He’s clean, but his accountant, Maximilien? Follow the money and you’ll find the dirt you need. I know you’re worried about sending the strike team out again after what happened with Reinhardt. But I’ve been working with them and I know they’re ready.”
The remainder of the message pretty much tells us who the playable roster will be for the event. “I’m putting Tracer in charge, with Mercy, Winston, and Genji in support. She’s grown as a leader since the King’s Row mission, and I know you’ll agree. Call me back when you get this. And commander – trust me, they’ll get it done. Sojourn out.”
Overwatch: Storm Rising will begin on April 16 and run until May 6.
Previous Overwatch Archives events have generally been lore-focused things with unique PvE missions, and it’s safe to expect the same thing here.

It’ll almost certainly be too soon for Overwatch to get another new hero with this event, since Baptiste just hit the live game a couple of weeks ago. But Sojourn’s proper introduction to the lore means she’s about to be a regularly-cited candidate whenever the topic of the game’s next hero comes up.
