Overwatch Summer Games 2018 skins: Reinhardt and D.Va legendaries

The Summer Games 2018 are just around the corner for Overwatch, and fans are eagerly anticipating all of the new skins that Blizzard will be releasing.

The first two legendary skins to be unveiled are for D.Va and Reinhardt, specifically Waveracer D.Va and Gridironhardt Reinhardt. 

Last week we found out that this year’s Summer Games will be held in Busan, South Korea. There’s even a new Lucioball map to go along with it. 

Waveracer D.va looks fantastic, transforming her mech from the usual pink colour to a more nautical blue, with some pink and purple highlights on the guns and legs. Along the side at the top we see the word Waveracer along with a little dolphin logo.

D.va’s outfit is a lot more summery too, changing from her normal blue and pink bodysuit into shorts and a crop top, perfect for the beach. She’s also got a flower in her hair and blue, heart-shaped sunglasses. 

Reinhardt’s new attire for his Gridironhardt Reinhardt skin is a lot less beach-ready. Instead it’s American Football themed. He keeps his large shoulder pads and helmet, but they now make him more like he’s ready to chase down a fleeing quarterback rather than enter a battlefield.

His huge hammer now has ‘Gryphons Champions’ emblazoned across it, showing his team must be pretty good at American Football too, despite him being German. 

You can expect Blizzard to keep revealing new cosmetic items all the way up until the Summer Games release date on August 9. 

So far there are 162 Summer Games cosmetics from both years of the event so far. 2018 will add to that, and may even bring back some of the older skins for a limited time for you to buy. 

Last year, we got 19 new skins, along with dozens of player icons, sprays, and voice lines. There were also 16 new victory poses, 5 new highlight intros, and 4 new emotes for various heroes.
