Guy ‘Dr DisRespect’ Beahm and Michael ‘Shroud’ Grzesiek are two of the most popular Twitch streamers around, currently known for playing PUBG.
It seems PUBG Corp has rewarded their loyalty to the game by creating specially branded weapon skins for each of them.
Both of them will be getting Kar98k skins, Doc will get an M416 skin, and Shroud will get an AKM skin.
Dr DisRespect posted an ‘ultimatum’ on Twitter a few days ago, warning the developer that if they didn’t put a branded skin in the game for him then he’d stop playing.
Many were worried that he’d be switching over to rival Battle Royale game Fortnite, which has surpassed PUBG in popularity in the last few months.
But it all appears to have been part of the act, as he clearly would’ve been in on the plans when he posted the tweet. Beahm’s character is known to be brash, and he sports a long black mullet, big moustache, and large sunglasses while on stream.
Dr DisRespect tweeted out the announcement of the skins accompanied with a picture showing both his and Shroud’s last night.
Shroud, a former CS:GO professional player for Cloud9, is now a professional streamer on Twitch, where he has gained a large following thanks to his skilled play across multiple games.
It hasn’t been announced yet how you’ll be able to get your hands on these skins. Normally, weapon skins are found in loot crates which you have to unlock with paid keys.
But PUBG Corp has also release items for direct purchase with Battle Points, which are earned by playing the game. So far, players have been able to purchase a special parachute and pan.
