Calling all farmhands! You’ll soon be able to tend to your crops and livestock, and engage in the holy act of matrimony, with your friends in the Stardew Valley multiplayer update.
Coming to PC on August 1, the update will allow you to farm cooperatively. Each player will reside in their own cabin, but outside of that you’ll be able to work together to achieve common goals: farming, mining, fighting, fishing, foraging, and festival participation. So, basically everything you can do in Stardew Valley, then.
Difficulty will be scalable, yielding a higher profit margin for teams who don’t mind turning the farming challenge up a notch.

You can invite up to three players to join your existing Stardew Valley save game or, if you prefer, you can start from scratch with a new farm, built henceforth with teamwork and love. Speaking of love, you’ll have the option to craft a bespoke engagement ring and propose to another player.
If things go awry, you can always opt for a divorce. If, somehow, that’s not enough – perhaps they destroyed your favourite crops – you can even ban them from your farm by demolishing their cabin. Perhaps we’ll just stick to romancing Pelican Town’s NPCs, eh?
Finally, the multiplayer update will come with new communication options in the form of a chat box and nearly 200 Stardew Valley emojis.
The Stardew Valley multiplayer update will be available on Steam, GOG, Humble Bundle, and WeGame on August 1st.
