The FIFA 18 World Cup mode update is now live on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC. The update file is only about 6GB but brings a ton of new content to the game.
Every World Cup team is now in the game with their fully licensed kits and squads. There are even new players such as Hulk and Odion Ighalo.

The update adds new modes and all 32 of the 2018 Russia teams plus their licensed kits
The World Cup now has its own section on the menu with Russia 2018 themed kick off, offline tournaments and online friendlies.
However, the really exciting addition is the new version of Ultimate Team. The World Cup version of FUT has all new cards for each player and changes to chemistry to be based around nationalities and confederations such as Europe and South America.
On top of that, there is no market for the World Cup mode – meaning players can only be found through packs which cost either 5,000 coins/ 100 FIFA points or 7,500 coins/150 FIFA points.
There are no rares either so you have a equal chance of packing any player – players packed Pele and Cristiano Ronaldo within minutes of the update going live.
The World Cup version of Ultimate Team also has every mode that you would expect, with Drafts, Squad Builder Challenges and online divisions. With the actual World Cup starting on the 14th of June, the FIFA update should have more than enough to keep you occupied in the meantime.
