The first two matches of the knockout rounds at the World Cup didn’t disappoint, as some of the world’s best players clashed.
While Ronaldo and Messi were playing, other players rose to the top and carried their countries through to the next round.
The latest batch of FIFA 18 World Cup mode Man of the Match upgrades have been revealed, including some of the best players from yesterday’s matches.
Edinson Cavani has the best card of the bunch, followed by Kylian Mbappe and Angel Di Maria
Headlining the bunch is Uruguay’s Edison Cavani, who has shot up to 92 overall, with 84 pace, 89 dribbling, 94 shooting, 80 passing, and 90 physical.
His teammate Diego Laxalt also makes the cut. His normal FUT card is just 78 rated, and isn’t even rare. Now he’s got an 84 rated card, with 91 pace, 85 dribbling, 72 shooting, 73 defending, 83 passing, and 78 physical. Pretty good stats across the board.
Two France players have also received upgrades: Kylian Mbappe and Benjamin Pavard.
Mbappe’s card looks great, with 95 pace, 92 dribbling, 89 shooting, 84 passing, 80 physical, 4 star weak foot and skills, for an overall of 87.
Pavard has received a big upgrade from what he started FIFA 18 at. To begin with, he was rated just 72 and was a silver card, before receiving an upgrade later in the year to 76 and gold.
Now, he’s rated 84 in the World Cup mode. The right back has 78 pace, 78 dribbling, 86 defending, 78 passing, and 79 physical. Shockingly, despite scoring a wonderful goal, Pavard’s shooting stat is still just 53.
Only one player from a defeated team received an upgrade, and that was Argentina’s Angel Di Maria. He’s now rated 87 overall and will be an enticing prospect on the left wing, with 90 pace, 90 dribbling, 85 shooting, 89 passing, and 73 physical, along with 5 star skill moves. It’s his best card of the season so far.
Keep an eye out for which stars from today’s matches will receive upgrades in FIFA 18 later tonight.
